Sunday mornings which are more relaxed for most and usually everyone is at home are ideal for a delicious breakfast with everyone’s favorite waffles!

Which are easily made in the air fryer and anyone can accompany them with the ingredients they like!

Melt 1/2 cup of butter (120 g) and let it cool slightly. In a bowl, put 2 eggs and 1 tbsp. sugar and beat them lightly. Add the butter, 1 and 1/2 cups of milk (370 ml), 2 cups of plain flour. (250 g.), 3 kg. baking powder, 1 tbsp. vanilla extract or orange or lemon zest, 1 pinch of salt and mix well to create a slurry.

The nice thing is that you can make the mixture the night before and put it in the fridge, so in the morning you only have to bake the waffles.

You fill the waffle tray leaving 2-3 millimeters of space and bake at 180 degrees for 15 minutes. After 7-8 minutes, turn them to cook on the other side.

You serve the waffles with whatever you like… Honey and nuts, melted chocolate and banana or strawberries, crushed biscuits, ice cream or whipped cream, apples with caramel syrup and cinnamon…

And of course there is always the choice of salty version. You can put on your waffle melted ripe avocado and egg or some meat and cheese that melts and put it for 2-3 minutes again in the air fryer to melt the cheese or cream cheese and cherry tomatoes… Imagination and ideas they don’t end!
