Ingredients
200 grs. butter
200 grs. granulated sugar
5 yolks
5 whites
30 cc of Rhum
1 teaspoon of vanilla
400 grs. of flour
2 spoonfuls of baking powder
1 pinch of salt
130 grs. dry fruits (chopped)
100 grs. dark raisins
60 grs. golden raisins
1/2 cup of almonds peeled( chopped)
1/2 cup of walnuts (chopped)
1 bakeware Loaf mold (greased powder with flour)
METHOD
In a bowl beat the butter with the sugar making a smooth cream, add the yolks one by one and beat again, add the rhum and vanilla.
Add the flour, baking powder and pinch of salt, beat well with all the mixture. Add the dry fruits,raisins, almonds, walnuts (reserve someones) mix all and add the whites whipped well.
Preheat the oven to medium heat.
Empty slowly at the Loaf mold (greased and powder with flour)
Spread over the mix some chopped almonds and waltnuts
Place at oven to medium heat by 1 hour aprox, it be golden and dry.
Let chill before cut. You may powder with icing sugar.
