A simple and very easy cheese pie, creamy as it should be and delicious – this classic tyropita recipe is a Greek feta cheese pie

INGREDIENTS

1 pack of pie crust sheets (450 g)

1 fl. fresh milk

6 lightly beaten eggs

2-3 tablespoons fine semolina

2 tbsp. baking powder

Salt Pepper

1 pinch of nutmeg

a little olive oil in this mixture, (about 1 tbsp.)

500 gr. grated feta

olive oil for greasing the leaves

DIRECTIONS

Beat the milk with the eggs in a bowl and add the rest of the ingredients with the last slice of feta.

Grease the oven tray and lay out 3-4 sheets and grease them one by one.

Pour the filling and cover with another 3-4 leaves, also oiled well.

Bake at 180 degrees until golden brown and cooked from below. In the last 10 minutes I usually put my pans down on the bottom shelf to be sure of the bottom of the pie. It took me about 45 minutes but this is an oven thing so we each check by eye.
